• The MTM:UK Awards were established in 2007 to champion the next generation of Musical Theatre producers, writers and shows. Whilst Musical Theatre is not excluded from many other Edinburgh awards, the artform did not seem to be achieving the plaudits deserved by the creatives. In addition we wanted to ensure that all new works received a review on-line which could help lead audiences, other critics, and talent spotters to this new work. Read more >>

• The winners have been announced for the second annual Musical Theatre Awards at Edinburgh's Festival Fringe. The ceremony took place at 10am in the Music Hall at Assembly @ George Street in front of a full audience, where several other awards (including the Scotsman’s final Fringe Firsts) were also announced. The MTM:UK segment was presented by Dr. Nick Phillips, Head of Musical Theatre at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, and West End star Frances Ruffelle. Read more >>
